kimchi jjigae (spicy kimchi stew)



I've made this recipe three times now. Each time it comes out different; each time it comes out delicious. It really just depends on which flavors you want to bring to the forefront, depending on your mood. The flavor of the kimchi you use will also greatly affect the outcome. Most recently, I served this to a group of hangry meat-eaters, and they loved it. You can recreate the dish by following MommyTang's step-by-step tutorial on YouTube. Don't be daunted by the "exotic" list of ingredients. None of them are absolutely critical to the success of the recipe, but of course each one contributes to the overall flavor.
